A man, who was injured in a fighting with another person in Oulu last week, succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, police said in a press release on Wednesday.
The dead was a 47-year-old man hailed from Oulu.
Police said that the incident of fighting between two men took place in front of a store at Tuira in Oulu on September 7.
Responding to an alarm in the afternoon several patrols of police rushed to the spot and recovered one of them in a critical condition.
He was admitted to hospital immediately where he succumbed to his injuries on September 10.
Police also arrested the other person from the spot on the day of the incident. The accused is a 28-year-old man also hailed from Oulu.
The police produced the suspect before the Oulu District Court seeking remand into the custody and the court granted the remand appeal.
Police are investigating into the case as murder.
The police, however, did not disclose the reason behind the fighting and the motive of the killing.
