Helsinki University enrols 1527 students to Int’l master’s courses

A total of 1 527 new students were admitted to the international master’s programmes at the University of Helsinki commencing in autumn 2024, said the university in a press release on Wednesday.

A record number of more than 10,626 students applied to the 35 international master’s programmes commencing in autumn session.

The university offered 14% of the applicants a student place.

All applicants have been notified of the results by email.    

Students admitted to the international master's programmes come from 85 countries.

Almost 80% of those admitted are from outside Finland and over 66% from non-EU and non-EEA countries.

In addition to Finland, the highest numbers of admitted students come from China, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Admitted applicants must accept the offered student place no later than 11 July 2024.
