President Niinistö and his Spouse Pay an Official Visit to Poland

President Sauli Niinistö and his spouse, Jenni Haukio, will pay an official visit to Poland on Monday and Tuesday. The visit will be hosted by President Andrzej Duda of Poland and his spouse, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

President Niinistö will hold formal talks with President Duda at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw on Monday. The talks will focus on bilateral relations between Poland and Finland and regional security issues.

President Niinistö’s program will also include a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and other meetings. The day will conclude with a dinner hosted by his Polish counterpart and his wife.

On Tuesday, President Niinistö will participate in a discussion with students at the University of Warsaw on security in Europe and its neighboring regions.

In addition to the joint program of the presidential couple, Jenni Haukio will be accompanied by Agata Kornhauser-Duda to discover, among other things, the artistic and cultural history of Poland.

President Niinistö previously visited Poland in 2020 to participate in the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. President Duda last visited Finland in 2017.
