The Central Finland District Court on Friday remanded a man and a woman into custody for their alleged involvement in series of robberies by trapping people using dating service in Pihtipudas, a municipality under Central Finland region, police said.
The police are investigating into three robberies allegedly committed by the suspects.
The last incident took place on July 22.
After the preliminary investigation police said that the suspects from northern part of Central Finland lured the victim to a private apartment in Pihtipudas using the dating service.
First the woman together with the victim arrived at the apartment and shortly after their arrival the man suddenly reached there and threatened victim to realize money forcibly.
The suspects used the same technic in all the cases to collect money.
Police also urged the people who use dating service to be more careful in this regard.
