A domestic scrap trawler drifted into the inlet water channel of the Olkiluoto 1 (OL1) nuclear power plant unit on Saturday evening, said the owner of the plant Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) late Saturday night.
The incident, however, did not cause any danger to people, the environment or nuclear safety, the TVO wrote in a post in its social media platform X.
The TVO did not divulge the detail about the situation immediately after the incident.
The authorities visited the spot and are investigating into the incident to get more information in this regard.
