Finland censures Russian attacks on Ukraine’s hospital

Finnish leaders on Monday strongly condemned Russian attacks in Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other cities resulting death of dozens of people.

President Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen and leader of the main opposition in the parliament SDP Antti Lindtman expressed their condemnations over the heinous attacks.

“There are no limits to the atrocities of the Russian Federation. Today (Monday) massive missile attacks on multiple cities, including Kyiv. Dozens killed and wounded. A children’s hospital destroyed. Finland strongly condemns these deliberate attacks on civilian targets. Russia will be held accountable for these war crimes,” Stubb wrote in a post in his social media platform X.

The President also reiterated that Finland stands by Ukraine for as long as it takes.

“I strongly condemn Russia’s appalling attack today (Monday) against Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv. Finland stands with Ukraine,” Orpo wrote in his X.

Valtonen in a post in her Twitter said that Finland strongly condemned Russia’s massive missile attacks towards civilians and civilian infrastructure.

“Innocent people, including children, suffer due to Russia’s illegal war of aggression. Russia alone bears full responsibility,” the Foreign Minister wrote in her post.

Antti Lindtman, leader of the main opposition in the parliament Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) termed the attack children´s Hospital in Kyiv as cruel and held Russia responsible.

“Russia continues its ruthless attack on Ukraine. Today's ( Monday) strikes on civilian targets, such as the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, are cruel and entirely condemnable. Once again, innocent children have become victims of Russia's illegal war of aggression. Russia must be held accountable for its war crimes,” Lindtman wrote in his post on X.
