The NGL is a partnership between CSIRO, UWA and Curtin University.
Want to do business with the NGL? Or commission research in Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage?
Contact Dr Linda Stalker
Science Director
In her role as Science Director, Linda is responsible for the development of the science program for NGL and its integration with the major capabilities and skill sets from CSIRO, The University of Western Australia and Curtin University. She also participates as Chair of the Science Committee and as a member of the Implementation and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) Committees.
As well as preparing materials for, and in collaboration with, the research institutions involved, Linda is the primary contact for the Western Australia Department of Mines and Petroleum (WA DMP). The WA DMP is leading the precompetitive phase of the South West Hub project.

CSIRO Researcher
Before joining CSIRO, Karsten worked in Canada for the provincial petroleum industry regulator, the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board, on the hydrogeological assessment of acid-gas injection projects. He specialises in Basin Modelling in the CSIRO Energy business unit and looks after the CSIRO In-situ Laboratory that involved re-completing one of the wells at the South West Hub CCS Flagship project in Western Australia for monitoring and testing purposes. In the past, Karsten was a project leader for Understanding CO2 storage in Saline Aquifers in the CO2CRC. His main interest is the modelling of basin-scale impacts of fluid production and injection on groundwater flow.
